Day 1: Marrakech to Imlil – Gateway to the Atlas Mountains
Welcome to your thrilling Mount Toubkal adventure. We will pick you up from Marrakech and drive to the village of Imlil (1710m) in the High Atlas Mountains. First, we will go on a 3-hour afternoon hike in the area for acclimatization up to Tizi M’zik (2300m). Afterwards, we return to Imlil and spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
Day 2: Imlil to Neltner Refuge – Ascent into the High Atlas
Today, we hike to Aremd Village and then to Neltner Refuge (3050m). Along the way, we enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery before reaching Neltner Refuge camp. This camp is the only place to stay in this area due to National Park rules for safety reasons.

Day 3: Neltner Refuge to Mount Toubkal – Conquering North Africa’s Highest Peak
This morning, we trek to the summit of Mount. Toubkal (4167m). We will make an early start for our attempt on Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak. This will be a 3-4 hour trek to the summit. First, we must traverse long scree slopes. The terrain is tiring at this altitude, and we must proceed slowly to conserve the energy. Higher sections of the mountain are rockier with little vegetation. Once at the summit, the views are spectacular. Enjoy the scenes of surrounding peaks of the Atlas Mountains and down to the plains around Marrakech. Afterwards, we begin the descent back to the Neltner Refuge, where we will have a late lunch and enjoy a well-earned rest after a hard day’s trekking. Overnight in the refuge.

Day 4: Neltner Refuge to Imlil – Descent from the Heights
Today, we continue down to the valley, passing through the deeply religious village of Sidi Chamarouch. This area is rich in wildflowers, and in spring, we may find the magnificent Peony Rose. If we are lucky, we’ll see herds of goats traversing precarious mountain trails. We trek back down towards the village of Imlil. Upon arrival in Imlil, we enjoy a good rest and have dinner at the hotel.
Day 5: Return to Marrakech
After breakfast, we transport you back to Marrakech, concluding our unforgettable Mount Toubkal adventure.
