Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Valley – Road to Ancinet Kasbahs
Depart Marrakech early morning and journey southeast towards the Atlas Mountains. Enjoy breathtaking views as you pass through the Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass. Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village with ancient kasbahs. Continue through the Skoura Oasis and Valley of Roses, known for its fragrant rose gardens. Arrive at Dades Gorges, where towering red cliffs provide a stunning backdrop for the night. Overnight stay in a local guesthouse or hotel, immersing yourself in Berber hospitality.
Day 2: Dades Valley to Merzouga – Majestic Sahara
Depart Dades Gorges after breakfast and continue your journey towards Merzouga. Drive through the dramatic Todra Gorge, with its sheer rock walls reaching up to 300 meters high. Stop for lunch in the traditional Moroccan town of Erfoud, known for its fossil discoveries. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon and prepare for a desert adventure. Embark on a camel trek into the Sahara Desert, experiencing the magic of the desert landscape. Witness a spectacular sunset over the sand dunes before arriving at your desert camp. Day 3: Merzouga to Fes – Road to Spiritual Capital
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the Sahara Desert. After breakfast, depart Merzouga and begin your journey towards Fes. Drive through the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and date palms. Pass through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” of Morocco. Continue towards Fes, passing through cedar forests and charming mountain villages. Arrive in Fes in the evening, where your unforgettable journey from Marrakech concludes.
